Samsung's new easy-to-install home security SmartCam can be mounted on almost any surface and records when the motion sensor is triggered. It uploads all recordings to a secure Youtube account via a home network connection. An account can be created on the SmartCam site to view real-time footage from the device, without having to install separate software. It connects via wireless or a standard Internet jack. A user can also control it via their iPhone or select Android phones.
The SmartCam supports 640x480 resolution video at 30 frames per second, and can record events up to 15 feet away in the dark credit to its non-visible infrared LEDs. Samsung plans on making free apps for iOS and Android to allow you to keep an eye on your home no matter where you are.
