ROCSTOR, provider of high-capacity data storage and encryption solutions, announces the launch of Amphibious, an International CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree.

The Amphibious is a secure, ruggedized portable hard drive with real time hardware encryption and offers advanced two-factor authentication, USB 2 and Firewire 800. In addition, the crypto module is FIPS 140-2 certified.

It offers users the option of using the device in a cross platform and Operating System independent fashion, cutting the need for GUI or software installations .  Simply, it offers users the value of data security by using an original concept of two-factor authentication with Smart Card and Keypad, real time hardware encryption, and futuristic design sense.

The Amphibious can be used by consumers, SOHO's, enterprises, institutions, military and government applications who want to store data in a secure manner.

At CES 2012, Polaroid has announced its SC1630 Smart Camera with its smartphone-like form factor that runs on Android.

The Polaroid SC1630 features a 16-megapixel 1/2.33-inch CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom (5x digital) and 6.5 - 19.5 mm lens to provide a 35 - 108 mm equivalent lens range. Around back is a 3.2-inch touchscreen for displaying images and accessing apps and the Android Market.

The device supports  upto 32 GB storage capacity and has a Smart Album feature that auto- organize photos by date, location and people, not forgetting the geotagging and face & smile detection features .

Users can upload images and videos to social networks and share with friends with its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also offers  an optional cellular data connection to make to make VOIP calls.

The Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera weighs 5 oz (142 g) and its fully charged battery should give a full day of snapping.
 It will be available some time later this year for an unannounced price
