At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia announced the 808 PureView, a smartphone with a 41-megapixel image sensor and will be the first smartphone by Nokia to include its new PureView imaging technology, which combines a high-resolution sensor with Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia-developed algorithms.

The Nokia phone has a 4-inch screen with a 640 x 360 resolution, a 1.3Ghz single-core processor, and 512Mb of RAM. The handset comes with 16GB of storage space, but supports microSD expansion up to 32GB.

According to Nokia, the 808 uses a new pixel oversampling technology, that captures seven pixels of information and then condenses those into one single pixel. This results in a sharp photo, and the ability to zoom in on any portion of a 5-megapixel picture without losing clarity in the image. The technology also works on video, so you can shoot a full HD video at 30fps and 4x zoom.

In addition to HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance), Optimus Vu: comes with an 8-megapixel camera.  An update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is already in the works.

ZTE Optik from Sprint - 7-inch Honeycomb tablet

Sprint announced that this 7-inch Honeycomb tablet will be available soon for only $99.99, with a two-year contract of course.

The Optik includes a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 1280 x 800 display. There's also a five megapixel back camera, two megapixel front camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery on board. 

When it does launch, you'll have to sign up for one of Sprint's tablet data plans, which start at $19.99 per month for 1GB, to get the on-contract price; Sprint's also offering it contract-free for $349.99.

ZTE's Optik is a 7-inch Android tablet available through Sprint in the United States. It features a WXGA-resolution display, dual cameras, and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
