Hyundai HND-7/Hexa Space concept

Hyundai HND-7/Hexa Space concept
Hyundai's  eight-passenger Hexa Space Concept is built with 1.2-liter turbocharged, direct-injection engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and features clever hexagonal seating designed to optimize interior room, with each chair fitting into a honeycomb matrix, allowing passengers to sit three across without feeling cramped or crammed together. The seats can also be folded flat to allow for expansive cargo room.

The vehicle makes use of the Hyundai fluidic sculpture design language. A bold front fascia with exaggerated headlight displays and a sprawling front grille define the Hexa Space Concept's nose, while large LED tail light arrays mark the vehicle's rear. With exterior dimensions of 4,300 mm long by 1,820 mm wide and 1,647 high (169.3 x 71.6 x 64.8 in), the vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm (108.2 in) and runs on 19-inch wheels.
Although it's currently only a concept, Hyundai says the vehicle is aimed at young families in the 30s and 40s looking to navigate the crowded urban streets of India and other emerging countries.

DC Design to bring out Avanti, India’s First Sports Car

Avanti from  DC Design
“Every country which has written its name in the pantheon of automobile manufacturing has invariably distinguished itself with sports cars by its own nationals and I thought that India rightly needs to be in this exclusive club”, said Dilip Chhabria, former GM designer and founder of DC Design.

DC Design plans to manufacture 300 units of the Avanti in 2013-2014 and will use parts from various carmakers, especially in the powertrain and suspension departments. The prototype  is constructed around a lightweight but rigid spaceframe chassis.

It features unequal-length wishbones and coil over shock absorbers on both axles, 19-inch wheels with 255/35 front and 295/30 rear tires and 330 mm ventilated disc brakes with AP Racing calipers.
It is powered by a mid-mounted 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine sourced from Ford and tuned to deliver 265HP and 366Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a Ford-sourced six-speed manual gearbox, while the Avanti will also be optionally available with a dual-clutch PowerShift transmission.

The Avanti will be priced at a reasonable Rs 30 lakh, or around US$56,000 at the current exchange rates. Later, a version of the machine will be offered with a Honda-sourced turbocharged V6 producing around 400 horsepower with superior pricing. The base Ford engine will reportedly be sufficient to hit 60 miles per hour in under seven seconds and the turbo V6 will surely be quicker.
