Envy 15 comes with a 1366 x 768 "HP BrightView" screen, or pay an additional $150 for the 1920 x 1080 Radiance option powered by a dual-core 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-2430M processor.

It features 6GB of DDR3-1333 memory, Radeon HD 7690M graphics with 1GB of VRAM, dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Intel's Wireless Display tech,  HP's infrared HD webcam , 500GB storage, and a  7200RPM hard drive.

The Envy 15 also has a built-in Kleer transmitter to connect with wireless audio gear and sports a pair of USB 3.0 jacks, two 3.5mm headphone sockets and a 3.5mm microphone port on the left, alongside the DVD drive, and another USB 2.0 port, full-sized DisplayPort and HDMI sockets, a Gigabit Ethernet jack and an SD card slot on the right.  

The Envy 15's relatively good sound quality comes from Beats Audio system comprising of six speakers and a miniature subwoofer, providing perhaps the best audio quality. Beats Audio software delivers extra depth and boom, and it disguises the inherent tinniness of the tiny drivers that HP is using here,

It comes with a pre-installed Bing Bar,  Norton Internet Security,  Cyberlink PowerDVD,  Microsoft Office Starter Edition, Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9, the Bing app, HP's MovieStore and Wireless Audio, Cyberlink YouCam for the webcam, and find your toolbar populated by Intel's Wi-Fi manager, HP CoolSense and HP Wireless Audio, as well as a Beats shortcut.

Acer Unveils World's Thinnest Ultrabook: Aspire S5

Acer unveiled the world's thinnest Ultrabook with the Aspire S5, an ultra-slim device that measures only 15 mm at the maximal point. It weighs less than 1.35 kg (less than 3 lbs.) and is built with a 13.3-inch (34 cm) LCD.

Adorned with a delicately curved chassis in Onyx Black, the Aspire S5's cover rim wraps around the system body like a protective shell. A magnesium-aluminum alloy cover and palmrest provide a slimmer and sturdier form, while the metallic brushed detail presents subtle elegance.

 

The Aspire S5 is Acer's first Ultrabook to feature a smartly designed MagicFlip I/O port panel concealed just below the hinge. This design feature enhances the overall slenderness and streamlined form of the S5. When needed, a press of the MagicFlip key opens the panel to reveal a selection of I/O ports: HDMI®, USB 3.0 and 20 Gbps Thunderbolt. Interestingly, Acer Always Connect can wake up the Aspire S5 from a remote device like a smartphone.

The 23” monitor will sport a native display resolution of 1920×1080 Full HD, with a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio along with a mere 2ms video response time, which looks like it should be up for the task of gaming, photo editing and watching movies.
The V3D231 will also come with VGA, DVI-D and HDMI 1.4a inputs, which means that you should not have any issues hooking up a Blu-ray 3D player or your Sony PlayStation 3 gaming console. The monitor will also come with integrated SRS Premium Sound audio speakers and will bundled with a pair of polarized 3D glasses and a TriDef 3D software suite, which basically allows the conversion of your 2D photos into 3D photos.

ASUS ET2700 All-in-One PC

Available with up to Core i7 processing power and up to 2TB of onboard storage, the new AIO models are also said to be the first in the world to offer 10-point multi-touch display interaction.
All of the available models feature an LED backlit, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio MVA (Multi-Domain Vertical Alignment) panel that's said to eliminate color shift and promises a 178 degree viewing angle. There's a 2 megapixel webcam in the bezel and two members of the series can be attacked by up to ten grubby fingers at the same time.
The non-touchscreen ET2700INKS is available with Intel Core i7-2600S (with a clock speed of 2.8GHz), Core i5-2400S (at 2.5GHz) or Core i3-2120 (at 3.3GHz).

The ET2700INTS and the ET2700IUTS are the multi-touch behemoths and are both available in all of the processor options shown for the non-touchscreen model, with the ET2700IUTS benefiting from the addition of a Core i5-2405S processor option (at 2.5GHz).
All the models are available with up to 2 TB of HDD storage, up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM over two slots and slot-loading DVD or Blu-ray optical drive options.
It has an enhanced version of SonicMaster technology (said to have been finely-tuned by audio experts for distortion-free clarity), DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC surround sound technology for claimed life-like immersive audio, and an optional external subwoofer featuring a 580cc resonance chamber for some extra low end boom to complement the onboard 3.5 W stereo speakers.
