Ascend P1 S by Huawei - World’s Thinnest Smartphone

Huawei Technologies, a Chinese company primarly known for its budget smartphones offerings,  claims with Ascend P1 S, the title of the world's thinnest smartphone.

The Ascend P1 S measures just 6.68mm think and features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display (960x540). It also is packin' a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor. Other features include an 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1670 mAh battery, and requisite Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/3G support. If you were hoping to get LTE on such a thin device, you're going to have to look elsewhere.

Huawei also announced the "standard" Ascent P1, which has all of the same features as the Ascend P1 S but measures in a thicker 7.69mm and includes a larger 1800 mAh battery. Both phones are running Ice Cream Sandwich.
“We’re excited to unveil the world’s slimmest smartphone here at CES 2012,” said Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei Device. “The Ascend P1 S demonstrates our ongoing commitment to innovating high quality devices that utilize the latest hardware and software technologies.”
Both the Ascend P1 S and the Ascend P1 will be available worldwide this April.
