Mong Kok, Hongkong Post / ADO

The Hongkong Post / ADO- main
Established in 1841, Hongkong Post  has been evolving in parallel with the development of society, providing important services that connect us to the world. this project includes a pilot design for post office improves the existing hardware provisions in order to cater newer services, at the same time allows flexibility for future expansion of service.

Mong Kok, a popular post office is the site selected to demonstrate how well thought design can improve public service, for the serve and to-be-served.

THE CONCEPT
Undoubtedly, stamp, postal chop and street posting box are the most distinctive elements that represents the Hongkong Post. The spatial quality of these memorable forms are analysed and transformed into 3-dimensional elements that form different parts of the post office.
Every curve appear in the space was well planned and looked coherent as an entity owing to the same language, finish and colour, and integrate the complex and fully packed functions that were not effectively arranged in the original post office.

OBJECTIVES:
REORGANIZE the signage system to improve visual communication.
RESHAPE the space to enhance usability for both customer side and staff side.
REBRAND the design of post office to strengthen its unique history and branding identity.
